My Favorite Holiday
My favorite holiday is the Spring Festival.It is also named the Chinese New Year.The holiday comes in January or February.A series of colorful celebration activities begin on new year's eve,the last day of the last lunar month.Chinese New Year has long been an occasion for family reunions.During this holiday,my families will get together to make dumpings and have big feasts.Adults set off firecrackers.In the evening,we children can enjoy fireworks or play with latern.The most fascinating part for me is the luky money.It is a red envelope full of cash given by parents.I often use the money to buy some stationary,and keep little in my piggy bank.

I still remember my favourite holiday when I was a schoolgirl.I was 16,and it's summer.I had a lot of time,so I decided to do something meaningful.First,I bought several books I wanted to read and finished them in a week.Then, I got a job in KFC,I had a good time there,though it's tough work.I gained so much life experience and also earned myself some money.When the holiday is about to end,I went to travelling with my family in Hainan.That's my favourite holiday!
我仍然记得我是学生时喜欢的一个假期。那是一年夏天，我16岁。我有很多时间，所以我想做些有意义的事。首先，我买了几本我想看的书，并且在一个星期内看完了他们。然后，我找到一份在肯德基的工作。虽然比较苦，但是我很享受这份工作。我获得了很多生活经验，还为自己赚得一些零用钱。当假期快要结束时，我和我的家人去了海南旅游。这就是我喜欢的一个假期。

My favorite holiday is Christmas and it always on December 25th. I enjoy the idea of giving and receiving presents and going to church to watch the Christmas plays and I enjoy the Christmas parades that different towns have during this holiday season. Because gift-giving and several other aspects of the holiday involve heightened economic activity among both Christians and non-Christians, Christmas has become a major event for many retailers. I enjoy letting the children help me put up the Christmas tree. It’s a pleasure to see them excited by the Christmas lights on the tree and on the house. I ride around to different towns so they can see other people decorations. Christmas is based on the story of Jesus’ birth. December 25 is not thought to be Jesus' actual date of birth and the date may have been chosen to correspond with a Roman Festival. There are many festivals in our country , and there are more and more western festivals and cultures coming together,but i like the Chinese Spring Festivel most , because there are so many culture about this festival ,this festival is the most important holiday in our China , it is a festival that reunion the family members, this festival brings me much happiness from my childhood till now , it has different meaning to me at different time , when i was a child , it means poket money to me , when i became a middle school student , it means a pleasure time for me to relax myself , now , it is an important chance for me to visit my friends and my parents, long time departure from them makes me feel that they are the most important treasures in my life , and i hope there will always be a festival to visit them .when facing this question , mayby many people will chose the Christmas Day or Vanlemtine's Day and so on , but in my eyes , those kinds never means so much to everyday , but spring festival do brings so much to us . that's all , thank you .
Chinese Spring Festival holiday is the longest and least interrupted holiday in my mind since I participated the sociality working. As a migrant worker from ShiXing a small northern county of GuanDong province, I rarely stay in SZ to waste the precious time during the Chinese Spring Festival holiday, though I’ve settled down here several years ago, or the inconvenience of transportation. In such a rush schedule I would ask my parents to have it arranged that which day I need to visit my grand-grand-parents far away of mountain town, and then the aunty, so many family relatives . After that, only few days allows me to stay in bed, to relax, to do my own things, to listening CD music and watch an amount of DVD movies which I brought from SZ, then take some delicious food beside the bed…….. Red package, it’s an invariable topic with Chinese people during Chinese Spring Festival; I would prepare a thousand dollars for red package. You know, it is happier to give than receive. As my age, wife and I received it every year from parents, that is the deep meaning of love in it, it evident showed the warmest love, wishes, and let it to the next generation.
