Chinese farmer Wu Yulu has a lot of "children." However, most of his "children" are not human, but robots. He built them on his own, and even gave them the family name. The 48-year-old lives in a small village in Beijing. When he was a little boy, he was crazy about robots by himself. However, his parents were too poor to send him to school to learn mechanics. Instead, they taught him the bamily business of farming. however Wu Yulu didn't give his dream. He knew he wanted to build robots, so he spent all his free time looking for scrap iron and learning mechanics by himself. At first, the robots he built could not move. It was not until 1982 that he was able to build his first movable robot. He named the robot Wu Laoda. It means "the first son of Wu." Thing have improved since then - his robots now can not only move, but also jump, paint and drink! Wu Yulu treats these robots like his own kids. His amazing creations have made the farmer quite famous. In 2010, 30 of his robots were on display at the world Expo 2010 inShanghai, China.
