"be the home of"
example 1. [对于xx来说是家] 与"be home to" 类似,但注意必须是多数人或物.
School is the home of the students. 学校是学生的家.
example 2. [xx的发源地,特产]
USA is the home of hamburgers. 美国是汉堡包的发源地.

小弟不才，个人以为be home to 是指：某处是什么的发源地 be the home of 单一指是什么的家。

第一个说的意思是...对于某人来说是家,给你个例子:it is home to me.(对于我来说，这就是家）
第二个是说．．．是谁的家（多用语一般现代时或者将来时）例子：It will be he home if all the animals in the zoo.(这将成为动物园里所有动物们的家）

be the home of 指的是....之家；...之地
如：I was told that it used to be the home of the gods.说奥林匹亚曾经是众神的栖息之地。
而be home to 中的TO 后应该是 接动词构成动词不定试作目的壮语，表示在家干什么
i use to be home to have a rest after one day's work.
