Mr.Green works in an office .He's very busy and has no time to have a good rest .Every evening he's always tired after work and wants to go to bed early .But his wife often has a lot of interesting things to tell him after supper .She doesn't stop talking until she falls asleep.
One day Mr.Green felt terrible ,so Mrs .Green went to the hospital with him .Before Mr.Green talked ,the woman told the doctor all and the doctor understood why .
He wrote out a prescription and said to Mrs.Green,"The bottle of pill is for hime and the other pills are for you ."
"For me "the woman was surprised."I'm fine .I don't need any pills!"
"I don't think so ,madam ,"said the doctor ."They are sleeping pills .Your husband will soon be all right if you take them."
格林先生在政府部门工作.他忙得连好好休息的时间都没有.每晚下班回来,他总累得精疲力尽,想要早早上床休息.可他老婆晚饭后老有一大堆“有趣”的事儿要告诉他,喋喋不休直至入睡.
一天,格林先生不舒服,于是格林太太陪他上医院.不等格林先生开口,这位女士就把所有的事儿一股脑儿告诉了医生,医生明白了事由.
他开了一份处方,对格林太太说,“这瓶药是给他的,剩下的是给您的.”
“给我?”这位女士惊奇不已.“我健康得很,不需要什么药片!”
“我可不这么认为,女士,”医生说.“这些是安眠药.如果您乖乖吃了它,您丈夫会很快好起来的.”
