when i was in kullu , i found this place called hotel vikrant very suited to my liking , initially i found it was mentioned in the lonely planet so i decided to stay there , avery quite, clean , homely place, with a nice view of the surrounding mountains and very helpfull staff , with a small amsterdam style cafe which serves my favourite food and has very nice sitting areas , all in all the river rafting in kullu is the best i have partaken in , and a small hike towards a place called bijli mahadev was also worthwhile, the local cuisine in kullu is also sumptuous , local people are very friendly , although there is no night life but there area few good places to spend your evenings.
