昨天纠结了一个晚上，心理实在不舒服，就很认真的去查了英语语法书！惊！果然是没有in的~~~我汗死了……这么说我就这样错了这么多年？亏我还是专攻语言的高中生……颜面扫地啊……
咳咳……应该是这样的：a pen to write with必须要有with是因为write本身是作为谓语的动词，作为及物动词它的后边只能加"a letter"或是"a passage"这样的宾语。write不能以动词的形式直接做后置定语，如果要加pen的话就必须有一个介词来使定语符合语法并且句意通顺，就是"with"，所以从这个方面来看，两句话的形式还是有差别的。而在那句话中，spring作为主语，plant后已经加了一个trees来作宾语了，也就是这已经算是一个可以作为后置定语的完整的动宾结构了，所以没有必要再加一个介词来完善后置定语的结构了。就这样吧~~~
另外说一句，本人的语言表达能力不太好，这是我的极限了。希望亲看得懂吧~~话又说回来我学了快十年的英语，居然还做出那么丢脸的回答，我愧对我的老师啊……看来我的语法需要恶补了……之前的错误回答，亲原谅我吧~~~5……

这句话呢，你可以这样来看，把 Spring is the best season 看做一个完整的句子，意思为春天是最好的季节，后边的以to引导的不定式 to plant trees 可以看做是为前句做补充说明的。连起来看就是，春天是用来种树的最好的的季节。我以前做过一本资料，上边有个例句，就是 The park is the best place to play soccer.和你的这个句子结构基本是相同的。用法貌似是不定式作宾语补足语。我一时也记不大清了。回头去翻翻书。
plant trees in the best season 如果你是把它当做一个句子写出来的话，那么你就犯了语法错误了。plant是动词，是不能够直接作为句子主语的，要用也得用动名词形式。
如果我理解有误请见谅，我只是出于提醒你，句子的主语，可是是名词，可以是代词，可以是不定式，但就是不能是动词。
另外这句话以我们初三学生的水平来看，就原词来转换形式难度是相当大的，至少我的能力有限，没办法用这几个词来组成一个通顺且符合逻辑的句子。
关于in，如果句子不用改写，就用这个形式，in是完全没有必要加上去的。而且一旦加上去，这个句子貌似就错了。
