he did a good job to argue with so many people who claims that the media violence will cause aggressions and crimes.in the first chapter,he tartly satirized the APA without any mercy.his standpoint is that although tv was popular since 1950s,and during 1960s_1990s,the crime rate increases drastically.there may be correlation between them,but not causal relationship,because most of the scholars ignored the third variable:the social change which lead to both media violence and crime rate's increase.finally,i know why i like his style,because most of our textbooks tell me that media violence will result in violent crimes.for example,the news continuously reported about the criminal killed the kids in kindergarten.it's the news violence cause the tragic event,or it has nothing to do with the report.It is fair to say that the media is at best only a mediation,not the final reason,the true answer sill lies in the social structure.
