English is one of the most important subjects in middle school.
Almost everyone knows that we should learn English well,but few of us know how to learn it well.Karl Marx has set a good example for us.He once said,"When one is learning a foreign language,he must use the foreign language." In this way,he could use several languages.A saying goes,"Practice makes perfect." When we learn English,we should read more,speak more,listen to English from time to time and practise writing every day.Don't be afraid of making mistakes.Only in this way can we learn it well.

How To Learn English Well
A lot of people like English. As the society advances, it is very important for us to learn English well. In fact, It is not very difficult to learn English well.
First, we must find a good method to learn English. I believe in determination and hard work. As the saying goes “Nothing In The World Is Difficult If You Put Your Heart Into It” Believe in yourself, and have confidence in yourself. As a student, in classes we should listen to the teacher attentively and make notes carefully. Be active in answering the teacher’s question and asking some questions , After classes, we should do our homework first, and be careful with the homework. Then we can preview the contents of tomorrow.
In my spare time, I often listen to English programs in the radio or watch programs on TV. It’s an efficient way to improve my ability of listening comprehension. I also love to read English novels or magazines. It’s a good way to build up my vocabulary. My favorite English magazine is English Pictorial. It’s very helpful for us middle school students. It widens my scope of knowledge. In addition, I practice speaking English with my teacher and my classmates every day. I also persist in keeping a diary in English .Sometimes, I think that it’s a bit difficult for me to learn English well, but I never give up. I just work hard on it.
My dear friends, if you want to learn English well, just choose a good method and then try your best with your hard work and determination.
Maybe some people don’t like English , thus we must cultivate the interest of English. Interest is the best teacher. We are sure to have a good result with great interest. Let’s learn English well together.
My definition of success
Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rather simple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now I am
standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.
However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very
complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization of people’
s hopes and ideals.Nowadays, in the modern society there are many people
who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization of
people’ hopes and ideals.
Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.
What is success? Everyone has his own interpretation as I do. But I am sure
every success leads to an ever-brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a
successful life!
As everyone knows,English is very important today.It has been used everywhere in the world.It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.
But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness,but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation.When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words.When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...
I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London,because it is the birth place of English.
I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.
I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.
If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.
I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!

I’d like to begin my speech with a story. One night, some foreigners went into a pub and ordered 12 bottles of beer. When they came to check out, the pub owner was puzzled, because he knew little English, and the only English number he knew was two. How could he make the foreigners understand that they had 12 bottles? He thought hard and had an idea. He repeated the word “two” for 6 times to the foreigners but they couldn’t understand him. He held up two fingers and tried again and again. And finally they got it. They laughed and said “My goodness. Why don’t you just tell us that we had 12 bottles?”
That’s not just a story for fun but a true one. It happened when I was a little girl, a time when there were few people in China who could speak English. However, things are different now. The world has turned into a global village. And as s a universal language, English is becoming more and more important in our life.
Have you ever found English words on the back of your watch, on your T-shirts or in the instruction books of the things you buy? Do you often surf the Internet? Are you fond of English songs? Do you enjoy English stories? You see English is really everywhere.
English is very useful in business. Nowadays, more and more foreign businessmen come to invest in China and it provides us with more chances in trade. Many businessmen attribute their success to a good knowledge of English.
English is particularly significant in the fields of science and technology. Without knowing English we shall not be able to enjoy many scientific books. Besides, technology of the modern world is, as a matter of fact, available in English. If we know little about English how can we share the achievements of science and technology from all over the world?
English is also playing an important role in traveling. While traveling abroad, people often have difficulties in asking the way, ordering food in restaurants, booking rooms in hotels, doing shopping and so on. If we know English we may not meet with such difficulties. English can make our journey more convenient and comfortable.
In a word, English has much to do with our life and society. The prevalence of English has greatly promoted the development of our society. Meanwhile, the rapid social development has resulted in the popularity of English. As an English teacher, I should try my best to help my students with English learning.
