What an exciting day!I have been looking forward to going outside for long,finally,the dream comes true today.
Lloyd Elsmore Park,only 10-minute from home by car,is a very popular spot in eastern area of Auckland.You can have different kind of indoor and outdoor sports there at lower cost,or join different clubs for badminton,hocky,rugby,criket etc.Free swimming pool,open to public 7 days in the daytime,attracts a lot of visitors.During the weekend lots of people love to go there early and participate their favourite activity.Walking or jogging in the park,watching kids in the playground,or feeding the ducks and birds with bread in the pond are really relaxing and fun.
Our first stop is the duck pond.Unfortunately,the wind was too strong to stay outside for long.I just had a glimpse of the small pond and the disappointed ducks with much less bread that day.Second stop is dad's favourite - Lloyd Elsmore Badminton Club.It's a greyish green building hidding in faraway corner of the park,next to the most popular Rugby Club.It's much warmer inside.Quite a few teenagers were playing there,and some coaches were busy with training.Mum wanted to challenge dad for one game,so they played for half an hour as mum was eager to play badminton for long.When I watched them I wondered how they hit the shuttle that far and run here and there fast.It looks interesting and I'm hoping one day I will be playing on the court,hehe...
What an exciting day!The first visit to the park and the badminton court is just a beginning of my exploring the world,I believe.Dad promised me to take me somewhere further and have a lot of fun in the futer.I'm looking forward to growing up FAST!
