which前面加介词是用来修饰which指代的对象的。因为文中想说“那个note上会show出到期的付款日（showing...the date by which it is payable）”，还原回来就是the note is payable by the date. 因为说date的时候要说by the date，所以which在指代的时候也要加上by which.
