用live.
1、动词不定式做后置定语,当不定式动词用作不及物动词时,后面要加适当的介词.但不定式作定语且所修饰的名词是time,place或way时,不定式后的介词一般要省去.如：
He had no money and no place to live.他没有钱也没有地方住.
可以看出加in是一般规则,place的情况不加in属于习惯用法.从纯理论上讲,place to live in不能算错,但在实际应用中较少见到而已.
2、【这个比较好理解】当成特殊的看,place比较诡异,一般情况下不要加介词.
特殊的老师应该会重点强调,打个比方,nowhere,不可能说have nowhere to live in 只能说have nowhere to live.分不清的可以倒过来一下,用这个举例,只能说 live nowhere 而不能说 live in nowhere,具体原因我们老师解释的是英语很多东西就是死背的,没有原因了.
不加in 因为what=in which 已经含有介词了
