The following are the answers/clarifications to your queries below:
1.This is a Government project undertaken by NHPC,the apex body of hydro power plants in India.They are offering this project as an EPC Contract and our Company is bidding for it.
2.We got the tender book only a week ago.Our contacts in the Government wanted us to take up the project and we were informed only 2 weeks ago.Since then we have been in touch with companies from all over the world for the electro-mechanical components.Companies like Verdant Power has also shown great interest.
We are in the process of getting the electronic copy and should send you the details within the next two hours.
3.We agree that the time is very short.But since we were informed about this project,we have moved very fast and hope to submit the tender on time.
4.Nippon Power Ltd.will get the tender.Your firm will supply all the electro-mechanical equipments.The supervisors and technicians during erection will be from your side.So,we enter into a pact where you supply the equipments and we get your technical support.
5.We do understand that tidal projects are much more expensive than small hydro.But your estimate of 10 times is not correct.We can discuss further in due course.Of course tidal projects are not commercially viable and thus this is a Government funded venture.
There is a lot at stake in this project.Being the first tidal power project in the country,we can become a pioneer in this field.We are one of the very few private companies which has been invited to bid.We have always been an early bird in the renewable energy sector and are very keen on doing this project.
