二、unless (= if not) 表示“除了在…的条件下/情形下”.
用 unless 时,主句的行为发生在后,从句的行为发生在前.如：
* He will never pass the examination unless he studies hard.如果不努力学习,他就永远不能考及格.（= He will never pass the examination if he does not study hard）
——主句中的行为will never pass 发生在从句studies 以后.
* I shall go unless it rains.如果不下雨我就去.(= I shall go if it does not rain)
