In this paper,we report the crystal structure,spectral
characterization and activity of mononuclear complex
Cu(EDTB)(NO3)2 \1C2H5OH (I) in comparison with binuclear
Cu2(EDTB)(NO3)4 \1 3H2O (II),as well as the
electrospray ionization mass spectrum (ESI-MS) of
catechol oxidation products.
The ligand N; N; N0; N0-tetrakis(20-benzimidazolyl
methyl)-1,2-ethanediamine (EDTB) and two complexes
were prepared as described before .The copper(II) ion is bound with four benzimidazolyl
(bzim) nitrogen atoms and two amino nitrogens
of the ligand,forming a distorted octahedron,which
consists of two benzimidazolyl nitrogens (N1 and N5)
and two amino nitrogens (N9 and N10) on an equatorial
plane,and the other two axial benzimidazolyl nitrogens.

本论文中,我们对比了多核Cu(EDTB)(NO3)2 \1C2H5OH (I)、以及单核Cu2(EDTB)(NO3)4 \1 3H2O (II)的晶体结构、光谱特征以及邻苯二酚氧化产物的ESI-MS.
