In my opinion,monthly exam should be cancelled since it does not necessarily the best way to help students improve their grades.Though monthly exam raises the awareness of competition among students,it increases the pressure faced by them as well.Some people may argue that the monthly exam ensures students to do their study and revision consistently.Nevertheless,there is quite a number of people who just do last minute study which is not helpful in consolidating their knowledge and exam techniques.Other than ignoring the emotional well being of students,monthly exam is alse not ideal in terms of teaching.As the monthly exam takes up much time,it results in the rush in teaching in order to complete the cyllabus on time.This creates the difficulty of catching up the learning and may even discourages students from learning especially for those with weak foundation.Therefore,for the benefits to students,the monthly exam should be cancelled.

There are two middle school students in it. Each has an examination paper in his hand. The one With a high score looks very happy while the other with a low score is quite sad. But, does the former have greater:ability than the latter? Is the examination the best way to check the student's ability?
The examination now plays a very important role in the realm ofeducation. It is used to decide who the best students are, who should be praised and who should be admitted in universities.
But the examination may make people think that gaining high marks only is siftficient. But in fact, it is not the case. The students who don't study diligently may score high by hard reciting and be considered as successfulstudents. This is unfair. "Excellence" ought to be awarded to the really all-round students.
As a result, the examination should be combined with other means to measure the students knowledge and capability. A few questions given in the examination can not cover the whole field of the subject. Emphasis should also be put on checking the students ability to apply.
应该取消考试吗?
每人手中拿着一份试卷，高分的看起来很高兴，而低分的却情绪低落，但是，前者的能力真的比后者强吗?考试是检验学生能力的最好方法吗?
考试在当今教育中有举足轻重的作用，它被用来判定谁是最好的学生，谁应该受表扬以及谁应该进入大学。
但考试可能使人认为取得高分就足够了，但事实并非如此。学习不好的通过死记硬背也可能得高分，从而被作为成功的学生，这不公平，“优秀”应属于那些全面发展的学生。
所以考试应与其他的方法联系起来测量学生的知识和能力。考试中的几个问题不能覆盖该科的全部，重点也应该放在检查学生的应用能力上。
