a long time ago, people usually think that the definition of a good student is to achieve satisfactory academic results and to be attentive in lessons, answering the questions that the teachers ask. It was believed in the past that students listening to the orders by the teachers is what we call a good students.
However the situation has changed thoroughly nowadays. We judge whether a student is good by many different factors. Except fulfilling their basic responsibilities, for example handing in homework on time and study hard, they are required to participate in different activities and courses to make sure they are performing good in all perspectives. General public expect that students would be aggressive in learning and at least have the ability to play at least one kind of music instruments.
I think the change in value has added a lot of pressure to stidents. Since the literacy rate in the society has increased, students need to be competitive in order to enter high ranked schools and getting higher paod jobs in the future. They are very pressurized. In this case, i think that students should strike a balance between entertainment and studies, which is the best way to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in learning, setting their goals to become.what we call good students.
