The number of TV shows is constantly on the rise as a result of the rapid development of entertainment industry. As a result, we are surrounded by all kinds of TV shows. Actually, the phenomenon that an increasing number of people like to spend more time on TV shows has come into existence.
TV shows surely play a significant role in people’s lives. Frankly speaking, TV shows now offer us more information and happiness than before. When guys come home after a whole day’s hard work and are too tired to go out, what they prefer to do is to turn on the TV and choose a TV show to enjoy their time. However, some people hold an opposite view. They are afraid that TV shows may bring many negative effects on our lives. First, people who spend too much time on TV shows may lack face-to-face communication. In addition, TV shows may bring a variety of harmful information to teenagers. Last but not the least, people who become abosrbed in TV may not have enough time for such things as reading, writing and so on.
As far as I am concerned, I like TV shows as they can broaden my horizon. But, I know I must control the time spent on TV shows.

As we know TV shows has become an important part of our life. We can knwo what is happening, what are the politics, what the weather will be in the coming week, we also can get some advice on consumption. But, should TV shows be encouraged?
In my opinion, good TV shows should be encouraged. Such as The News, from there we can get the important event of our country. Nice cartoon that may teach children something about life should be encouraged. And the TV shows which could lead people a good way on consumption, or on the attitude of their lives.
But the TV shows as soap opera should not be encouraged.
In a word, the TV shows which could lead people a good way on their lives should be encouraged, but others should not.
