l am so happy to hear that you will come to China.you asked me to give you some suggestion about studying Chinese.l hope that the advices l given will help you.
Personally l think,the great important piont of learning a language well is speaking and writing,and the Chinese character is different from English word,it need to practice usually.As you know,each kind of language is used to communicating with others,so you can go to Chinese town ,and practicing your spoken Chinese with the local people.
Besides that,you also can watch Chinese movies or listen to Chinese radio programs,which can help you a lot of your listening.If you working hard,l believe that your Chinese will improved .
In a word,just you try your best to do a thing ,no problem can beat you.
