h.A person who is down-to-earth is easy to talk to.He or she accepts others as equals.A down-to-earth person is just
the opposite of someone who acts important or proud.Down-to-earth people may be important members of society,of cours
e,but they do not let their importance go to their heads,they do not consider themselves to be better than others who
are less important.Someone who is filled with his own importance and pride,often without cause,is said to have his n
ose in the air.There is no way a person with his nose in the air can be down-to-earth.
     Americans use another expression that is similar in some ways to down-to-earth.The expression is both feet on the
ground.Someone with both feet on the ground is a person with a good understanding of reality.He has what is called co
mmon sense.He may have dreams but he does not allow them to block his knowledge of what is real.The opposite kind of
person is one who has his head in the clouds.A man with his head in the clouds is a dreamer whose mind is not in the r
eal world.Sometimes such a dreamer can be brought back to reality,sharp words from the teacher,for example,can usua
lly get a daydreaming student to put both feet back on the ground.
     The person who is down-to-earth usually has both feet on the ground.But the opposite is not always true.Someone
with both feet on the ground may not be as open and easy to deal with as someone down-to-earth.When we have both our f
eet firmly on the ground,when we are down-to-earth,we are realistic and we act honestly and openly toward others,our
lives are like the ground below us,solid and strong.
务实也要就是说为人诚实,坦荡并且易于相处.能找到一个务实的朋友是一件好事.因为务实的人是很容易交流的,他(她)对每个人都是一视同仁.一个务实的人正好和那些老把自己表现的很重要或老翘尾巴的人相反.务实的人当然是社会中的重要一分子,只不过他们并不让这种想法侵蚀自己的头脑,他们并不认为自己比那些不是很重要的人优秀.勿庸置疑,那些头脑里充满了自己的重要性或自豪感的人通常被称为鼻子朝天(自大)的人.而且一个自大的人是从来不会务实的.
美国人用另一种与务实在某种程序上相似的表达.这种表达就是脚踏实地,一个脚踏实地的人就是一个对现实有着很好的理解的人.他懂得所谓的常理,他可能有梦想,但他并不允许它们妨碍他对现实的理解.与之相反的人就是头飘在云里的人,一个飘乎乎的人是一个思想不切`实际的空想家.有时侯这样一个空想家能被带到实际中来.例如,老师的一些尖锐的批评通常能使一个整日做白日梦的学生变得切实起来.
务实的人通常都是脚踏实地的.反之却不然,一些脚踏实地的人可能并不像务实的人那样坦诚或易于接触.当我们的双脚牢牢站在地上的时候,我们就是务实的人,我们是实际的而且我们对他人表现的诚实和坦荡,我们的生命就是身后的大地一样,牢固且强壮.

Daily, for their livelihood.
One day, they saw a wild bear,
Almost coming close, very near.
The bad man climbed a nearby tree,
But the other one couldn't reach the tree.
He lied below the tree, posing as dead,
As he knew well, bears touch not any dead.
Without moving his limbs, he held his breath.
The bear smelt his body lying in close to death.
After it went away without harming him,
The man from the tree asked him,
What the bear whispered into his ears,
When he remained with closed eyes?
'The bear told me not to trust such
Selfish friends like you, very much,
And also said that a friend in need,
Is really a friend in deed.
