I will introduce three main billiards modes to you here,and they are American 8 balls,American 9 balls and snooker.
American 8 balls:We have 16 balls including one cue ball (white ball),seven solid balls (from number 1 to 7),seven stripe balls (from number 9 to 15) and one black ball (number 8) in American 8 balls.Players play alternately and who firstly sinks a ball aside from cue ball and eight ball picks his type of balls (either solid balls or stripe balls) and the other player has to strike the other type of balls.Player can continue to play until he fails to sink his type of balls or breaks the rules.Player who finishes his own type of balls and then sinks the eight ball wins the game.
American 9 balls:We have 10 balls including one cue ball (white ball) and 9 other balls (from number 1 to 9) in American 9 balls.Like in American 8 balls,players play alternately.The difference is that each player can strike all the balls still on the table,but he has always to strike the ball of the lowest number.Player can strike other balls in aid of the lowest-numbered ball.Player can continue to play until he fails to sink any ball or breaks the rules.Player who sinks the nine ball first gets to win.
Snooker:There are 1 cue ball,15 red balls and six colored balls (from number 2 to 7) in snooker.In snooker,we calculate points for players.Red ball represents 1 point and colored ball represents the point of its number.Also,players play the game alternately.Player in his turn to play should strike red ball and colored ball alternately and he can successively play until he fails to sink a ball or breaks the rules.Before all the red balls are finished,the colored balls should be picked up and placed to its original position after they get sinked.After all the red balls are finished,player should strike the colored balls orderly from 2 to 7.Player who gets the higher scores wins when the game is over.
