I've heard this song too many years ago, but I saw the MTV just in these days. And I began to know what is all about
the story of this song. Actually, it is:
从MTV中我才有些明白Hazard在这里的意思。因为单独听came to hazard这个的句子其实有些让人费解。
男主角和他的妈妈来到内布拉斯加州的一个小镇，名字叫Hazard。在MTV里明显出现了这样的路牌"Hazard City Limits"，并且警车车身
上也写着"Hazard"，因此故事发生在内布拉斯加州范围内一个叫Hazard的小镇因是无疑的。当然，根据美国常用叙述故事的手法，也可
理解为这也是一个危险的地方。因为是一个古老的小镇，有着古老的世俗，与年轻人的理想不容，或者说这个古老的小镇隐匿着不为人
知的故事，因此我理解为“城市边缘 - 意为被抛弃和离弃的地方”。
然而这个词也是“语带双关”，在这个故事中是一个很重要的词语。男主角的母亲在他七岁的时候肯定是出事儿了。是偷情、离婚、精
神失常、自杀、还是被男主角所杀，还是发生其它的意外这里描述的很隐晦。
而小镇上的人却在诅咒这个孩子，带有歧视和偏见的。直到他长大，直到他认识玛丽，他们都是年轻人，他们彼此理解，彼此亲近，是
否有相爱这也无从知晓，但是男主角对她肯定是有特别的感情。只是他们都梦想着有一天能够通过一种方式离开这个地方。
关于玛丽的死，当然根据小镇的传统观念和警长拍下的照片，大家都认为男主角是嫌疑犯是无疑的。然而，中间的故事是：玛丽是否是
有前科的，不知道，或者玛丽是因为和男主角在一起才被怀疑，说明警察一直没有放弃侦查这个“男孩”？，但是玛丽肯定是被警长盯
上了，并且玛丽和其它男人发生了性关系，至于是玛丽自愿的，还是被迫的，这也不是很清楚，只是男主角知道这件事儿的。而玛丽的
死，兴许看过MTV的人觉得是警长也有嫌疑，但是我觉得男主角却是动机最大的。
首先，男主角看到玛丽和别人发生一幕的时候，警车来了，他离开的时候把围巾弄丢了。玛丽很伤心的来到河边，脖子上围着那块围巾
，然后......
因为男主角曾经历过童年母亲“出事儿”的事件，在男主角心里产生了创伤，而玛丽和她母亲似乎是犯的同一个错误！

在MV里玛丽最后说了一句话：You know,every one think that I should be afraid of you,but i'm not! (你知道吗？每个人都觉得
我应该小心你并离你远点儿，但我不会)，这时候警察又出现了。这句话我觉得应该是对男主角说的。
这是个很神秘，又很不完整的故事的梗概，十分有意思。有意思的关键在于，这是一个小而封闭的空间，很多行为完全来自内心活动，
并由男主角以第一人称叙事的，他可以在叙述中获得同情，并且编造谎言。让我来设想一下这个故事的面貌：
男主角的母亲带着他来到Hazard的小镇是为什么？男主角的父亲是一名军人，长期在外，后来和他的母亲离婚了。由于离婚，他们搬到
了Hazard小镇。但是男主角却很喜欢自己的父亲，对于发生的一切不理解。就在搬来的这个时候，他的母亲和别的男人上床了，并且被
他看到了。于是在男主角的心里产生了“肮脏”和“背叛”的感觉。男主角亲手点燃了自己的房子，烧死了自己的母亲。自己跑到了河
边。
因此小镇上的人都怀疑是这个男孩干的，但是他只是一个小男孩而已，他不说话，警察也拿他没辙。从此，男主角在偏见的眼神和诅咒
中长大。按照男主角自己的叙述是：这都是对自己的污蔑和谎言。直到玛丽出现，因为是年轻人，玛丽似乎能够理解男主角心里经历的
痛苦，理解这个环境，并有共同语言。因此，男主角对玛丽有一种“爱慕”，但是玛丽由于某些原因，却又和别的男人发生了性关系。
就在那天晚上，他们两个分手以后，和另外一个男的在车里。而这一幕，却被男主角看到了。那股创伤感连同童年的记忆立刻涌上心头
，在此刻，他产生了杀人动机!
玛丽虽然也很伤心的来到河边，但是男主角对她下手了，用围巾杀死了她并仍在河里!
由于种种司法原因，男主角并没有得到法律的惩罚，并且离开了那个古老的小镇，离开了那天河流。
事实上，如果用美国常用的电影手法拍摄，这是一个悬疑片，并且会让凶手变成其它可怀疑者，而不是男主角本身，而最后观众都会猜测男主角是由于自身的心理疾病而杀人的，并且杀死了母亲和女友，同时，观众并不会像变态杀人狂一样去看待男主人公，而会以其它心里分析的形式去看待，其中包括对他的同情！
Anyway,这是一首好听的歌，而且有不同的版本，大家可以听一听！
