1.One day when Jack was walking in the park,he saw a woman he knew sitting on a chair with a dog beside her.The dog was looking up at the woman.Jack went up to the woman and said,"Hello,Sue,how are you?May I sit and talk with you for a while?"
"Of course,please sit down." Sue said.Jack sat down next to Sue on the chair,and they talked quietly together.The dog still looked up at Sue,as if waiting for something to eat.
"That's a nice dog," Jack said,looking at the animal.
"Yes,he's nice and he's strong and healthy."
"And hungry," Jack said."He hasn't taken his eyes off you.He thinks you've got some food for him."
"That's true," Sue said,"but I haven't."
The two friends laughed and then Jack said,"Does your dog bite (bite-bit-bitten v.咬)?"
"No," Sue said."He's never bitten anyone."
Hearing this,Jack decided to touch the dog.He put out his hand and touched the animal's head.At once it jumped up and bit him.
"Hey!" Jack shouted."You said he didn't bite."
"No,he doesn't," Sue answered."You asked me if my dog bit,and I said no.That's not my dog.My dog is at home."

这两个朋友笑了,杰克问道,“你的狗咬人吗?”
”Sue回答:“从未咬过任何人!”
听到这,杰克决定摸一下那狗.他伸出手,摸了一下那狗的头,那条狗立刻扑了上来咬他.
“喂”,杰克喊道“你说他不咬人的呀!”
“对啊,不咬人啊!”Sue说道“你问我我的狗是否咬人,我说不咬人的,可是这条狗不是我的狗啊,我的狗在家里!”
2.I go to the barber`s every week.I don`t like very short hair.So my baber does`t cut off much.I know him for four years now,and when I go to him,we always talk a lot.He tell me all his news and I tell him all mine.He meets a lot of news for me.
Every year my barber goes to France for two weeks for his holidays and when he comes back to England,he has a lot of interesting news,When he is cutting my hair,he tells me about beautiful old cities and quiet little villages,delicious food and many other things.I sit there and listen to the old man with open ears.One minute,my barber`s chair is a seat in a French train,and the next minute it becomes a chair in a restaurant in Paris.
My barber is old,but he always tries new things.He often says,“I eat this food before,so I am not going to eat it now.”He say,“Try everything once.”
