答案上第一题选B，第二题选C（不知道为什么，我认为第一题的答案错了~）

第一题的确是B,因为"loaded with 96 people"和"trying to make a safe landing"都是有形容词功能的,如果用了tried就不行了.也就是说,其实loaded是说"被装“而不是装,是形容飞机而不是说明了飞机的”行为“,不能当动词处理.
第二个是固定用法,语法上C并不是惟一选择,不过既然你懂了我就不多说了.
1. A, and 连接的并列结构（并列谓语），时态要一致。前面是一般过去式，后面也用一般过去式。
2. B, 尽管有个and，但是这个时候and连接的是两个并列的简单句，而and后面那个分句已经有了谓语，所以填非谓语，逻辑主语和make是主动的关系，我们就是doing，所以用making。...
