My Home Town
My home town is a small town with a long history.It was not quite a pleasant town in the past,though.I clearly remember that five years ago it only had some small stores along the narrow streets,with rubbish everywhere.However,great changes have taken place here in recent years.The streets have been widened,which are lined with a lot of trees on each side.There are four parks built in the center and many tall buildings have been set up in the town.We can see flowere and grass everywhere and people with smile on their faces.Besides,I think if we can combine the development of the town with the invorienmental protction,our town will be sure to take on an even better look and we will certainly live a much more colorful and happier life in the future.

At Christmas time, lots of people in Britain put up a Christmas tree in their home and decorate it with lights, tinsel and ornaments. Some wrap up presents for family and friends and put them under the tree too. And practically everyone puts their tree near a window so that passers-by can enjoy the sight of the lights twinkling in the darkness.
