夜晚是如此的美好,适合读书、也适合思考.桌上的这本书是一位长者推荐我看的——《世界是平的》,同事告诉我这也是市委书记汪洋推荐全市人民看的书.老实说,近一个月的阅读,很多地方是囫囵吞枣,有的地方甚至根本看不懂.这本书与其说是介绍经济全球化,不如说是一本以经济全球化为主题的长篇新闻通讯.
在看这本书的时候,起初我的脑子是一片混乱的,感觉就像在看一份电子产品说明书,篇幅长、计算机专业术语过多,这让我想到初学计算机时接触的DOS系统,简直成为学生时代的我的一场恶梦.世界上使用电脑的人越来越多,但并不表示所有的人都明白其中的道理,就像当计算机操作系统是DOS时代时,计算机的使用率远远低于WINDOS问世后的普及率.而看此书,有点像在DOS时代使用计算机.但是,托马斯弗里德曼不愧是读者身份,他用几近煽情的手法、生动的事例和大胆的想象来解读经济全球化,让我不得不被这汹涌而来的经济全球化所镇住,同时也深感自己知识的匮乏.
书中的观点认为,我们正处在全球化3.0版,将我们带入这个新时期的动力既有地缘政治的因素,也有技术方面的进步以及在此基础之上的生产创新模式.正如今天的印度之所以能在公平竞技场上大揽知识含量高,收入回报丰厚的IT行业和电话服务业外包,是因为在世界还没有完全被铲平的时候,他们培养了大批的理工精英,他们懂得开发人的脑力.
《世界是平的》告诉我们,竞争的平台已经被推平了.试看今日的世界,没有哪个国家可以免受竞争所带来的冲击,可以不享受因为合作所带来的极大丰厚的回报.企业与企业之间,人与人之间充满了竞争与合作,因为竞争与合作带来了整个世界的变化,促进了人类文明的发展和传播.

在我们的工作和事业中同样不可缺少竞争与合作的因子,我们每天从事这简单而又繁重的工作,在这个看似简单平凡的工作中同样蕴含着竞争,从各人的工作态度到责任心,从个人的学习能力到工作技能无不打上竞争的烙印,社会是一个优胜劣汰的竞争场所,任何时候谁能从竞争中脱颖而出,谁就能享受胜利者的喜悦.
我是读不太懂这本书的,但还是收获到了紧迫感,做为一个初入社会的年轻人,我只有不断地学习吸收新知识,不断地巩固已学到的知识并运用到实践中,努力工作才能在平坦的世界中有自己的立足之地.正如作者在书中所言“平坦的世界的精神内涵是每一个劳动者将逐渐对自己的铁饭碗、风险和经济安全负责,而政府和企业只是帮助人们形成这种能力.”
变平的世界让每个个体都站在同一水平线上,任何企业、组织甚至个人都将参与到全球整合的业务环境中.让我们跟着作者一道去探讨这个变平的世界,这是由必然王国进入自由王国认识领域的一把钥匙.
