第一题:
P:Hey,XXX,do you know anything about Abraham Lincoln?I just saw a movie about him filmed by Spielberg, and I'm so curious about him right now.
Y:Oh,you mean the Lincoln who was one of the presidents of the United States?so tell me something you learned!
P:Well,Lincoln was the 16th president, and he mostly devoted himself into the anti-slavery campaign, and there was a war because of this campaign that you should've heard about, the civil war.
Y:yeah I've heard about it in history class.I know there's a war,the northern forces fought against Confederates, which was so called southern armies.
P:yeah that's right, the civil war was the only domestic war happened in America, and there were totally 3 million soldiers battling in the war, with the result that northern army finally won under the leadership of president Lincoln.
Y:that sounds a great war,so what about the anti-slavery campaign?I heard that the northern forces were in favor of the campaign and the southern army fought against it,so they were called confederates.
P:yeah that's totally right. The southerners had to fight against it because the campaign damaged their interests for they basically lived on slavery. But since the northern army won the war,the campaign succeeded.
Y:Lincoln was a great president, wans't him?Now I am more curious about this war and this great leader in history.
第二题:
Y:Hey,XXX,I just read on the newspaper that LiuXiang, that famous sportsman in China -- you know him right?-- is paid a lot for his performance, just like a great filmstar.I found it hard to believe, what do you think?
P:Why is it hard to believe?I think it's certain to pay him and other people like him a lot of money, and even more than those fimstars, after all LiuXiang was a champion and he won a lot of glory for our country.
Y:yeah i know, but i just don't think it's quite fair for the filmstars.I mean,he just has to run for 12 seconds to break a record and become a national hero, and those filmstars, they have taken a lot of pain acting in films, and they also won a lot glory...
P:oh you shall not think like that. One thing you should know is that Liuxiang, and other great sportsmen and women, they've paid no less than any filmstar back in the training camp just for that 12 seconds, they deserve it,totally.
Y:well i think you quite make a point about it.But let's think in this way, will those great sportsmen or women give up their career and go to enjoy their money interests instead of training everyday?
P:that's a good question, but it doesn't mean that we should not pay for those people like Liuxiang. They have won the glory, and they deserve the money, and if they really choose to spend a luxury life without training for the rest of thei life,I guess it's their free choice.
Y:Yeah i agree with that. They've paid a lot for our country and people's glory, and also the sport spirit of the world, and they should be paid back certainly.
因为不知道是什么测试,我就写的比较口语化了,题主做做适当修改就好.
