March 12th is Tree Planting Day.This year our school bought enough trees before that day .On that day ,we didn't had classes .The teachers and our classmates planted trees around our school.
We began to planted trees as soon as we got to school .some students dug the holes .Some students put the trees into the holes.
Some students put the earth back to the holes.Then we pushed the earth hard with our feet .At last we watered the trees as much as possible.
From then on we looked after the trees carefully and the trees grew very well .It made our shcool more beautiful .And How happy we are !

【一】Spring is warm, it's the best time to plant trees. Below is an instruction to follow:
Choose at least a five to six-foot tree grown to nursery standards.
Select a site with enough room for roots and branches to reach full size. Avoid overhead and underground utilities.
Prepare a planting area as deep as the root ball and three to five times its diameter by loosening the soil. Dig a hole in the middle of the area. In heavy clay soil, plant 2-3 inches above the base of the trunk flare (where the roots meet the main stem) rather than at or below the original growing level. If the soil is very sandy, then plant at grade so that the soil at the top of the root ball doesn't erode or dry out. Overall, plant the root ball so that once some settling of the soil occurs, the trunk FLARE is at grade level.
Use water to settle soil and remove air pockets in planting area.
Stake the tree to flex with the wind only if tree is unable to stand up to wind.
Spread a two to three inch layer of mulch on entire area, but not within six inches of tree trunk.

My winter vacation
During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11 o'clock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on playing till 2 o'clock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day of my winter vacation.
But I haven't bored all the time. Sometimes I read the books, sometime I listen to the music or the radio in the bed, because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. And I also meat some of my good friends during the vacation, we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether. And I watched the spring festival party of the CCTV in the last seconds of the 2004 year! I think this is the thing most people of china doing at that time.
