NYU is changing its policies on standardized tests for students applying to enter as freshmen in September 2011 to provide applicants with more flexibility to demonstrate their talents and mastery of subject matter.
All freshman applicants will continue to submit standardized test scores.However,whereas in the past applicants were required to submit scores for the SAT Reasoning Test or the American College Test (ACT) and two Subject Tests,applicants will now have several choices to consider as they determine the standardized test scores they choose to provide.
Applicants for admission to NYU will now be able to submit:
The SAT Reasoning Test or
The ACT (with Writing Test) or
Three SAT Subject Test scores (one in literature or the humanities,one in math or science,and one non-language test of the student’s choice) or
Three AP exam scores* (one in literature or the humanities,one in math or science,and one non-language of the student’s choice)
For students who choose not to submit SAT or ACT scores,the following tests will satisfy the literature or humanities score requirement:
Subject Tests:English Literature,US History,World History
AP Exams:English Literature,European History,US History,World History
For students who choose not to submit SAT or ACT scores,the following tests will satisfy the mathematics or science score requirement:
Subject Tests:Math Level 1 or 2,Biology,Chemistry,Physics
AP Exams:Biology,Calculus AB or BC,Chemistry,Physics B or C
Note:Applicants to the Stern School of Business who do not provide SAT or ACT scores must provide a score from a mathematics examination.
We encourage students to submit all of their testing and allow us to choose the scores that best represent your candidacy.
Students who can demonstrate evidence of an extraordinary accomplishment outside of normal classroom or scholastic activity,such as a major publication in a national or international journal,a published book,a film or other outstanding visual or performing artistic accomplishment,a scientific or other remarkable discovery,winning a national competition,or the equivalent will be required to provide only an SAT Reasoning Test score,or two SAT Subject Test scores,or two AP exam scores.
Note:The AP exams must be taken prior to the senior year to be applicable during the admissions cycle.
你可以考sat1,act和三门sat2的考试来申请入学
或者三门ap,但是不选择考sat1和act的学生,sat2和ap考试的选科目要符合一定要求,在上面,我就不一一翻译了
