go doing sth,和 go to do sth 区别不大.go doing一般是不及物动词,比如说go shopping.go walking.而go to加及物动词:go to buy sth.
第二个问题：举例来说 ：go to school 是去上学.而 go to the school则只是说去学校,但是目的不一定是学校,可能是家长去拜访老师什么的、再比如说go to hospital是住院的意思,而go to the hospital则可能是去医院探访某人
go后不接宾语时，直接用go. 而go to后面必须接宾语。
另外像go to school, go to work等固定短语后不接the. “去上学，去上班”
而去一些特指的地点时就带the. 比如，go to the mall, go to the park等。“去商场，去公园”
意义完全不同的。
1、从词性上讲，go为不及物动词，其后若接宾语，则需要借助介词来完成；
比如：go to the school 去上学；
2、但当介词to遇见副词时，则此时省略介词，如go home回家；go there去那里；
3、一些常用短语，不用定冠词；如go to work去上班
