一直以为especially widely used前面少了一个 is,不过有看到这样一个句子：He was arrested,convicted and sentenced to prison又觉得is 的确的可以省略掉的,不过这个句子和你列出来的句子也有不同的地方谓语后面的都是to prison.再看看下面这个句子
When a beneficiary with an unsatisfied warrant is concurrently entitled and is arrested and subsequently convicted and confined
我列出的这两个句子都是从网上找到的,这个is到底能不能省略,我觉得根据我的语感最好还是保留着比较不会怪怪的感觉.
然后是especially widely used in Henan province你的意思是在河南省用得尤其广泛,还是用得很广泛,尤其是在河南?如果是前者我觉得especially最好省略,如果是后者参考一下这个句子：
live fruits are widely used,especially in the Mediterranean.
2.你要表达的是：某篇论文我们认为能上NATURE,所以就没有投递到任何其它的出版社.是吧?
submit作为提交的意思时是不及物动词,所以后面要加个to
我觉得这个句子错误挺多的,至少是很不通顺.

个人观点
1，especially就是强调程度的，widely used可以省略
2，这句要表达什么意思？把中文意思补充上！

第1句个人感觉没错，最多有点小别扭
especially可以表示特别在河南广泛应用，
第2句有点问题，很明显你想用从句，但如果用and表明and后面也是从句的一部分，那么你这个句子就没有主句了
