After graduation,she got an internship in London,which helped her lot get a job as a merchandiser coordinator for Guess first,then for Urban Outfitters.She left Guess because she felt her personality does not match with Guess very well.She said:“There are many amazing companies,however,you should find the one you feel you belong to.” Urban Outfitters is such a company that fits her very much,she feels that what she does is not a job,it’s just something that she does for fun,and her coworkers are her families,she shares her experiences to helps them work better in the shop.If she is not in the store,her coworkers miss her.It’s an excellent work environment for her,and she has been promoted step by step in the past years.Her store ranked the top five stores in sales revenue among the 160 Urban Outfitters stores in the last four weeks.She will soon get another challenge to open a new store in Quebec City and work as a store manager there.After a few years she may be promoted as a district manager.
Ms.Power works very hard,she usually works more than 50 hours a week and she starts everyday work at seven o’clock to make sure that when customers come to the store,everything has been perfect for them; she also travels a lot.Her busy schedule makes her haven’t seen her friends for months,but she still enjoys this job very much,she loves it.
For the future,she plans to study Graphic Design in University and learn two more languages:Chinese and Germen.She suggested us that we should keep learning different kinds of knowledge to get well-rounded,and keep learning more languages to communicate better with suppliers and customers and get more work opportunities.
