Disability may involve physical impairment, sensory impairment, cognitive or intellectual impairment, mental disorder (also known as psychiatric or psychosocial disability), or various types of chronic disease
4. What is "harassment in the workplace" and why is it unacceptable?
Harassment refers to a wide spectrum of offensive behaviour. The term commonly refers to behaviour intended to disturb or upset, and, when the term is used in a legal sense, it refers to behaviours which are found threatening or disturbing. Sexual harassment refers to persistent and unwanted sexual advances, typically in the workplace, where the consequences of refusing are potentially very disadvantageous to the victim.

Culture generally refers to patterns of human activity and the symbolic structures that give such activities significance and importance. Cultures can be "understood as systems of symbols and meanings that even their creators contest, that lack fixed boundaries, that are constantly in flux, and that interact and compete with one another".[2]

Ethnocentrism is the tendency to look at the world primarily from the perspective of one's own culture. Within this ideology, individuals will judge other groups in relation to their own particular ethnic group or culture, especially with concern to language, behavior, customs, and religion.

Covert discrimination is a kind of discrimination not openly shown and it’s hard to determine because it is very subtle. For example, if your boss invites all your colleagues to lunch except you, it is hard to know if it is because he’s known each other for a longer time, because he doesn’t like you or because they are uncomfortable with people who speak your dialect or anything.

Such a workforce is able to synthesize a variety of perspectives and processes for the successful completion of tasks. Employers can build on established individual and group strengths and develop policies that create an environment to get the best out of each individual.
