1 :offering reasonable grounds for being believed 1:
2 :of sufficient capability to be militarily effective
capable of being believed especially as within the range of known possibility or probability
1 able to be believed or trusted:1:
Boone was not a credible witness.Boone
There was no credible evidence against him.
2 considered as likely to happen or be successful:2:
a credible challenger/opponent/candidate一个有力的挑战者、对手、候选人
capable of being believed especially as within the range of known possibility or probability
1 seeming possible or true:PLAUSIBLE:
Their story is hardly believable.
2 described in a way that makes you think something or someone could really exist:CONVINCING:
The leading character in the film wasn't very believable.
