Provided(that)和Providing(that)的用法和判别
一、连词provided（that）和providing（that）作“只要”解,引导一个条件从句.例如：
1.I will set the machine to pieces once again provided (或providing) that I have enough time.（句中that可省略）只要我时间够,我就一定再把机器拆一次.
2.Motors will run well provided(或providing) they are greased in time.只要及时给马达上润滑油脂,马达就会运转得很好.
二、由于that常省略,注意别与动词provide（供给）的过去时、过去分词和现在分词混淆.判别时主要根据provided或providing后面是否有一个从句.若连接的是从句,provided或providing就作“只要”解,否则就作“供给”解.例如：
