Nowadays,It seems that In order to write an English essay,writing in Chinese and then translating them into English has become more and more popular among students especially those who have not learned English for a long time.Does it a good habit or a bad one?
Of course,it is not a good habit.For me,I don't think it helpful for our study improvement.Since I first wrote an English article,I wrote in English.But,I still have to think in chinese way,I just don't write it down.When I think it out,I directly write it down in English.I don't think my way is a good habit,either.But,we are Chinese,born in china,affected by chinese culture.Since we were able to write,wo wrote in Chinese.In a word,as for me,writing in Chinese is the foundation of writing in English.We think in chinese way ,write in English way.At least,it is right for our Chinese people.
So,don't blame people who write in Chinese and then translate.It's not their fault,everyone of us is influenced by our own traditional culture andliving environment in different forms.With time going on,we learn more enough English and are being affected by western culture,we can form the habit of writing in English.But,most importantly,you must have a good foundation,that is writing in Chinese.
I am not saying that writing in chinese is a good habit.I mean,before we are able to write in English,we must have a good foundation.Then make full use of your Knowledge,writing in English when you first wrote an essay.Let's form our habits from now on.
