One reason could be because people always stay indoors in winter,so the virus can spread easily.Also the virus are easily grow in wet palces and spread by touching,coughing and sneezing.The common cold is a virus that can be caused by any of up to 250 kinds of other virus.The most common group of which are the rhinoviruses that hit the nose.
There is no better way for the common cold and medicine is often of no help,either.However,there are something which can help you to be far away from cold:
Wash your hands regularly,so that virus get killed.
Don't use drinking glasses,spoons,bowls with others to stop the spread of the virus.
Drink lots of water.
Make sure to eat enough fruits and vegetables.
Get enough sleep and you'll certainly become stronger.
