只有在广告受众认识清楚之后才能使他们产生购买的欲望,最终付诸行动,购买所宣传的商品,从而达到广告的真正目的,这一目的同时也应是广告翻译的最终目的.
如果译文不能达到这样的目的和效果,就不能算是成功的翻译.无论是好的广告文本,还是成功的译本,都必须能够唤起广告受众的购买欲,有力地促进产品的销售,或者应被市场销售专家认为能达到或最有可能达到广告的商业目的.

It is hard to motivate the recipient of a lenthy, tedious and obscure commercial to buy.
