2.长城是如何建成的?
中国古代建造长城的历史有2000多年.那时,中国北方经常受到外来少数民族的袭扰.为了保护自己的人民,一些国家开始在北部边境修建长城.那时的“长城”就是用土或石头建造的“墙”.中国第一个皇帝秦始皇将各国的城墙连接起来,将它作为军事防御的工事.后来,经过一千多年的不断修建,逐渐形成了数千公里长的长城.
3.在历史上,长城的作用是什么?
在中国古代,长城的主要作用是防御外来民族的侵略.它实际上是一个军事防御工事,一方面,高高的城墙可以抵御敌人的进攻,另一方面,当敌人来犯时,可以通过点燃烽火台的篝火来传递信息,使远方的军队及时赶到.可以说,长城是将不同的民族隔绝开的一道大墙.
4.长城的现状如何?
在我的印象里,有的长城保存的很完好,有的长城已经遭到了严重的破坏.在长城的东部,长城大多由石头和砖块建成,因此保存的很完好,比如北京的八达岭长城.但在长城的西部,大部分的长城已经被大自然严重破坏.比如,你看到的这张照片,这是甘肃的一段汉代的长城,因为这里的长城是由夯土建造的,在风雨的侵蚀下,已经看不出当年它宏伟、壮观的摸样了.
5.我们如何保护长城?
长城已经被联合国教科文组织列为世界文化遗产,它不仅属于中国,也属于全世界.因此,保护好长城,就是保护人类的文化遗产.我认为,要想保护好长城,一方面要对破损的长城进行修复,另一方面,也要将一些长城的遗址保存好,让现在的人们了解历史留下的痕迹.
6.21世纪,长城带给我们什么?
过去,长城是封闭的象征,现在,长城成为连接中国与世界的桥梁.中国有句话“不到长城非好汉”,它正吸引着越来越多的外国朋友,他们通过了解长城的历史来了解中国.可以说,现在的长城是中国开放的象征,如果说古代的长城代表着屈辱,那现在的长城更多的代表着中国的自信.

It is said that the Great Wall is the only human construction that could be seen with the naked eye in space. The Great Wall was built more than 2,000 years ago in the history, whose length from the east to the west is over 6000 km. It looks like a dragon, dancing in the high mountains in northern China. Now, the Great Wall is attracting many tourists from all over the world every day. There is an old saying that"the man who hasn’t been to the Great Wall is not a true man." It is believed that it is a symbol of China.
2. How the Great Wall was built? The Great Wall was built more than 2,000 years ago in ancient China. At that time, northern China was often invaded by other minority groups. In order to protect our own people and land, some kingdoms began to build the Great Wall in the northern border, which was a long and fantastic wall built with soil and stone.The first emperor who is called Qin Shi Huang , connected the separate walls together,which made the Great Wall more powerful. After more than a thousand years of continuous construction, the wall has extended for more than 6 thousand kilometers .
3. What is the role of the Great Wall in the history?
In ancient China, the Great Wall is actually a military defense. On the one hand, the high walls would resist the enemy's attack. On the other hand, when the enemies came to attack, they could fire through the kindling of beacon towers to convey the message ,so the army from afar could arrive in time.
4. what is the situation quo of the Great Wall? In my opinion, some parts of the Great Wall are preserved well, but some have been seriously damaged. In the eastern part of the Great Wall, which is built mainly with stones and bricks, is very well preserved, such as Badaling ,the Great Wall in Beijing. However, in the west, most of the Great Wall has been seriously damaged. For example, you can have a look at this photo, this is the section of the Great Wall built in Han Dynasty in Gansu, where the Great Wall is made of sand and soil. Because of the wind and the rain for a many years, the Great wall has been corroded, so we could hardly see the original shape of it.
5. How should we protect the Great Wall? The Great Wall has been listed as the world cultural heritage by UNESCO so it now not only belongs to China but also to the world. Therefore, to protect the Great Wall is to protect the cultural heritage of the whole mankind. I think that in order to protect the Great Wall. On the one hand ,we should repair the damaged Great Wall. On the other hand, we should keep some of original shape of the ruins, so that people may understand the history of the Great Wall.
6. What does the Great Wall mean in 21st century?
In the past, it was a symbol of China, now, the Great Wall is acting as a connecting bridge between China and the world. More and more foreign friends are attracted to visit China because of the Great Wall. They come to learn the history of the Great Wall, and understand the tradition and culture of China. It can be said that the Great Wall is a symbol of opening up in China, I should say If the ancient Great Wall used to represent the powerful defense of ancient China, it is now representing China’s self-confidence and opening-up to the whole world.

To learn English , I preview the day’s lesson before class and try to find the main ideas to reply to the teacher’s questions. In class , I make notes carefully . I often read a passage and retell it myself. Sometimes I learn English grammar and it helps me a lot. When I can’t remember new words , I always write them down in a notebook and take it with me .After class, I always review lessons and sing some chants. Reading a good English newspaper is helpful. We should speak English with our teachers ,our classmates and even with foreigners. We should insist on speaking English every day.

The purpose of building the Great wall was keeping the enemies off. New the Great wall has become a famous resort and has not been a defence weapon. So we learn that any weapon, itself, can not stop the war permanently.
