My favourite present
My favourite present is a rabbit.It is my 12th birthday present.It has white fur ,red eyes and a pair of long ears.Every day,I feed it and play with it .Its favourite food is carrots.Now,it is fatter and prettier than before.I like it very much.It's my good friend.

It is not easy to decide upon a single gift that i value above all others. I am fortunate to have many possessions, given to me on various occasions of my life. I cherish some because I greatly love, respect or admire the giver of the gift. There are other gifts that i cherish because of the happy memories associated with them. Yet others I appreciate because I like them so much. The gift that I prize above all is a ragged doll. It may not be worth even a second glance to most people but to me it is a veritable treasure trove of happy memories. This doll was presented to me by my parents on my sixth birthday. I had always wanted it. Every time we passed the shop window, I would point it out to my parents and ask for it. My parents would gently say, "yes, dear, we will buy it for you tomorrow." but to an impatient and self-centered little girl the tomorrow never seemed to arrive. What I did not know then was that we weren't very well off. My father had just lost his job. Mother was struggling to make ends meet. However, when my birthday arrived, they put aside all other considerations and bought me that doll. I was delirious with joy. How i would sing to her and pretend to mother her all day long!I was unaware then that my father had put off making a new pair of spectacles that he needed badly, just so that he could fulfill my heart's desire. When I was younger, I loved the doll for itself. I spent many happy hours playing with it But now that I am older and wiser, I no longer play with my doll. However, I still cherish it and value it dearly for it symbolises my parents' love for me and the sacrifices they so willingly made for the sake of my happiness.
