Introduction of The Little Prince
My topic is about a book named The Little Prince,which is one of best-selling book ever.Actually,I have heard it when I was a junior school student but I just started reading it recently.Now I want to share something about it with you.
My presentation will be divided into two parts,including the brief introduction of this book and my thought about it.
This book is written by French pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry who is famous for it all over the world.It tells us a thought-provoking story.The little prince is from a very small planet and is accompanied with his favorite rose.However,the rose’s false pride hurts him and he decides to travel in the space.He visits six planets but the experience lets him become sad.Under the direction of a geographer,he comes to earth.He is disappointed by people because they lack imagination and just parrot others’ words,which makes him miss his planet and his rose.He meets a little fox and becomes familiar friend with him.The fox tells him a secret that only use heart can he see the nature of things rather than naked eyes.Finally,he leaves earth and goes back to his planet.
Though ostensibly a children's book,The Little Prince makes several profound and idealistic observations about life and human nature.The little prince is not conquered by the deceiving world.However,he finds that love can connect the whole universe,which is lacked in man’s world.Therefore,the author says that this book is dedicated to the child from whom a grew-up grew now because there is only empty,blindness and ignorance in adult’s world.What’s more,it shows the satire and fantasy,true feelings and philosophy,which makes it the worldwide famous fairy tale novel and is liked by both children and adults.

I admire the old fisherman's will in the novel very much, he lets me understand that a person must have unremitting spirit, could succeed . What the novel is described is an old fisherman almost the sixty years old, when go to sea and fish alone once, have angled to a big fish, but can not draw. After tough fisherman and fish have socialized for a few days, just find this is a big Malin's fish which exceeds several times of one's own fishing boat, though know perfectly w ell that it is very difficult to win , does not give up yet. Because big Malin fish fishlike smell of wound attract odd herds of shark vie for the food again later, but the old man is still unwilling to give up like this, stress the tight encirclement finally , take the large fish back to fishing port , let other fishmen admire it endlessly.
