本文以莫里书写部落口传故事、文化传统,以及面临外来文化与部落传统间的困顿等相关书写为例.于此,笔者将先透过莫里森的口述追忆与书写,进而爬梳其书写关注,共分三部分.第一部分为创伤记忆：变异的个体、族群与土地.笔者藉由访谈及其书写,莫里以自身经验反复述说外来他者,如汉文教育、资本主义等,导致其不论于价值体系认知、语言运用亦或对部落传统等,所产生的诸多障碍与自卑,虽意识到并拒斥汉人文化,然身处于间,仍旧无法摆脱资本主义观的影响,也无法衔接上一辈的传统智慧.同时,他亦透过文字再现外来他者如何轧伤部落地景,滩岸地景的消失,也连带着影响部落文化传统.
