Of course there are many difference in the thinkings of Renaissance versus those of the Middle age.To be simple,Renaissance is open,human,forward looking and scientific in a sense,while the Middle age is dark,inhuman.
Religion was the ruler in Middle age,and free thinking other then those "Divined" are not allowed,That is also why it is called Dark Age.
The Renaissance,is the beginning of new and free thinking.The existance of Religion serves the only purpose to be broken.Even god and goddess look more human,and New ideas blosom,which lay the foundation for many modern sciences and theories.
