keep on严格表示“不断（老是）做某事”的意思,强调动作连续不断,每隔一会儿发生
例如：John always kept (on) asking questions.约翰总是问个不停.News of successes keeps (on) pouring in.捷报频传.
keep up则是 坚持,保持
那么言下之意他肯定是一直在努力的状态,所以我猜怀疑他能坚持多久
而且effort来说,keep up保持努力不松懈这样一种状态,词组.也是用的比较多的

seat动词用法只是被动形态表主动=sit罢了

伴随状语,就是with her attention fixed on a magazine省略掉be动词
也就是说如果排斥seated的话,那就只能选错了.
