1) Make appropriate gas and water connections, as required.
2) Perform appropriate gas and water leak-checks on the system prior to operation.
3) Verify that ozone leak detection equipment is installed to provide protection to all users and facility personnel.
Ozone has a readily identifiable odor recognizable in extremely minute quantities.
Concentrations above 0.1 ppm can cause headaches, eye irritation, respiratory problems,
dizziness, and nausea. At much higher concentrations it can cause death
Do not use the system without an ozone leak monitor. Failure to do so may lead to personnel injury.
5 System Startup/Shutdown/Operation
5.1 Operation Warnings
Read this manual carefully before applying power, nitrogen, ozone, or water to the system.
Refer to the Operation Manual of the Ozone Generator for detailed setup and start-up information.
Allow the system to warm-up for a minimum of 30 minutes before operating the system.
During setup and verification do not apply power to the system.
Make sure a ozone destructor is connected to the ozone exhaust port.
5.2 System Startup
1. Close ALL isolation valves and check that facilities are within specs. (Close manual isolation valves V2, 3, V4, V9 and V10, as well as needle valve V6.
