:: Introduction:
Michael Scofield's brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) has been accused of killing the Vice-President's brother and handed a death sentence - and only Michael (Wentworth Miller) believes he has been framed.
Convinced that Lincoln is the victim of a government conspiracy, structural engineer Michael needs to get himself banged up. So he takes the unusual step of robbing a bank so he can be imprisoned - in the prison he helped design.
:: Series 1:
Armed only with a giant tattoo of the plans to the State River Penitentiary, and one old friend, defence attorney Veronica Donovan (Robin Tunney), trying to work out the truth from the outside, Michael has his work cut out to save Lincoln.
He gets busy gathering together the people he needs to execute his master plan: his cellmate Sucre, well-connected mobster Abruzzi, mysterious Charles Westmoreland, and sympathetic prison doctor Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies).
But meanwhile covert agents belonging to a mysterious agency called "the Company" are on the prowl, and the date of Lincoln's execution draws nearer.
The dramatic series finale focuses on the jailbreak of eight of the cast amidst a violent prison riot.

It's eight hours after the prison break - now the eight escapees have to work out what to do next. The series follows the journeys of the eight most wanted men in America as they flee across the country, each of them pursuing their individual goals while playing a cat-and-mouse game with the authorities, who are never far behind.
FBI agent Alexander Mahone has been ordered by "the Company" to leave no-one alive when he catches the fugitives, and the sinister villains are happy to wipe out anyone in their quest to get to Lincoln.
The odds are stacked against the brothers as they try to get to the bottom of the conspiracy that has wrecked their lives.

Prison Break is an American serial drama television series created by Paul Scheuring, which premiered on the Fox Broadcasting Company on August 29, 2005. The series revolves around two brothers; one who has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, and the other, a genius, who devises an elaborate plan to help him escape prison. The series is produced by Adelstein-Parouse Productions, in association with Original Television and 20th Century Fox Television. The current executive producers are head writer Scheuring, co-head writer Matt Olmstead, Kevin Hooks, Marty Adelstein, Dawn Parouse, Neal H. Moritz, and Brett Ratner.[1] The series' theme music is composed by Ramin Djawadi, and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2006.[2]
The series was originally turned down by Fox in 2003, which was concerned about the long-term possibilities of such a series. Following the popularity of serialized prime time television series Lost and 24, Fox decided to back production in 2004. The first season received generally positive reviews,[3] and performed well in the ratings. The first season was originally planned for a 13-episode run, but was extended to include an extra nine episodes due to its popularity. Prison Break has been nominated for several industry awards, and won the 2006 People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama. The first three seasons have been released on DVD, while the first and third seasons have also been released on Blu-ray Disc. The series has been aired internationally, including several non-English speaking countries.
The success of the series has also inspired short videos for mobile phones, several official tie-ins in print and on the internet, and a video game in development. A spin-off series, Prison Break: Proof of Innocence, has been produced exclusively for mobile phones. The series has spawned an official magazine and a book written in an in-universe perspective. The fourth season of Prison Break will return from its mid-season break on a new timeslot, Friday at 8PM, starting April 17, 2009 for the series' last six episodes.[4] Two extra episodes were produced, but no airdate has been set for them. They will be included on the DVD of the fourth season, which will be released on June 2nd, 2009. A Blu-Ray release has also been announced.[5][6]
