gender discrimination refers to the phenomenon of discriminating females or males in specific profeissional fields or in political systems. commonly, gender discrimination largely refers to the kind of discrimination against women.
the causes of gender discrimination could be classified as the following. fistly, gender discrimination results from the difference between man and woman, which is mostly of physical capacity and intelligent discrepancy. secondly, the traditions in our society have long shaped our generalizations about the can-do and can't-dos of woman. as a result, people tend to exclude woman from the occupations dominated by man , such as in political and business sphere.
the effects of gender discrimination is something conceptually corrosive. it confines our minds within certain boundaries and would do a great deal of harm to the equality between man and woman. moreover, it puts many talented women out of their gifted areas and professions, which is a great pity and loss for our society.
the possible solution of gender discrimination is that we should first of all correct our past generaizations about woman. hold an objective and generous view towards women and learn to discover their strengths. on the other hand, the government should decree certain laws and regulations to ban the practice of gender discrimination in company recruitments and other areas, so that woman could enjoy equal rights as man on the basis of fair and open competition.
