养宠物的一些坏处,可以参考:)~~
With the rapid improvement of people’s living standard, in cities, many people tend to raise pets. Some people claim that pets such as dogs are dirty and dangerous. They say that raising pets should be banned in urban areas. However, personally I think the merits of raising pets outweigh its demerits.
Firstly, pets like dogs can be a guard for us. As we know, dogs have the natural ability to keep the house of its owners safe. They can send out warning to those burglars who attempt to break into the house, and sometimes even fight against them. Dogs are people’s honest friends.
On the other hand, the critics decry that pets like dogs are dangerous to people, especially to children. They point out that many people have the experience of being bitten by dogs. But I believe that it is not the responsibility of dogs. Indeed, it is the duty of their owners who deliberately train their dogs to attack people. As for the dirtiness of the dogs, the owners should also take the responsibility, because they are too lazy to give baths to the dogs.
To sum up, I would say that the benefits of raising pets carry more weight than harms of it. Pets give us much happiness. I also wish to suggest that the owners should take more care of their pets.

Although many people like to buy pets, but usually people do not think of the disadvantages beforehand. When they realize that raising a pet has so many disadvantages, they will abandon their pets and thus the animals are at the losing end. Today, I am going to share with all of you all kinds of disadvantages of raising a pet.
First, you should think of all the money that you will have to spend on your pets. If you do not want your pet to have dozens of children, then you will have to spend some money on the sterilization of the pet. You will also have to visit the supermarket often just to buy pet food to feed your pet, regardless what species it is. A reminder for you-pet food does not come cheap. Then again, think of the furniture you may have to replace which your pet may have scratched, dirtied or damaged. Also, when your pet falls sick, you will have to visit the vet, and one trip to the vet may cost you hundreds of dollars, and the follow-ups are not even considered.
For inexperienced pet owners, they will have to spend a lot of time bathing their pets and cleaning out their pet’s cage if they have one. I can promise you that you would have a hard time bathing your pet, especially if it has long fur. For cat and dog owners, you will also have to spend time once a day walking your dog.
Pet owners, particularly cat and dog owners, look out! If your pet attacks other people, you may be sued. Surely, you would not want to appear in the cover page of the newspaper just because your pet assaulted other people. Then, you will have to spend more time on your pet, to train it to be obedient.
From the above passage, you will be able to find around a dozen problems you will face just by owning a pet. I am sure that you will be able to find more disadvantages if you brainstorm. Thus, think thrice before you buy a pet. Can you afford all the money and time on your pet?
