我现在在美国念书.由于term GPA不够高,面临被学校劝退的情况,现有一个申诉的机会,但要求有一封解释信.
信里主要想表达的是,这学期因为家庭原因,母亲在3月份被诊断体内有肿瘤,疑是癌症,需开刀手术（有诊断证明书）,在美国上学资金来源主要是源于母亲开的公司.因为病情和手术缘故,母亲没有精力去照料公司,故而丢失了几笔很重要的订单,损失了很大一笔资金.我和母亲的感情很深厚,也很担心,因此我的学习状态也因此很受影响.现在手术完毕且很成功.现在母亲的身体已经有好转,并开始继续料理公司事务.并且我之前两学期的GPA都在3.0及以上.希望学校能看在我的特殊情况上让我继续上学.

Dear XXX,
I understand that the school wants me to quit as my GPA score dose not reach the standard. However, I really wish the school can give me another chance to prove myself. The reason I couldn not get enough scores is due to some personal reasons.
My mom was diagnosed that there was a tumer inside her and the doctor believed that it is a cancer. I am very worried about her. Worsely, her company has lost a few important deals due to her sickness and thoes deals are the money resourse of my school fees. It is really one disaster after another, thus I could not focus on my studies sinse there is too much pressure on me. Luckily, her surgery went well and everything is back to the normal now.
Life is unexpected and we will never know what will happen next. This is how unlucky I was and I hope you can understand me. I really wish the school can reconsider the decision made and let me continue my study here. In addition, I scored 3.0 and above for my last two GPA scores which proves that I still have the potential to get back to the original standard or better.
P.S. I can get the copy of my mom's surgery bills if you need them.
