I didn't deliberately sell alcohol to the minor,because I genuinely thought he was not under 21 years old at that time.I brought the alcohol to the minor only at the request of my colleague who was supposed to serve that table but cannot do that because he is only 16 years old and can't have access to the alcohol.According to our normal procedure,it is his responsibility to check the client's ID in the first place.Therefore,when I brought the alcohol to that table,I truely believed that he had already checked the boy's ID and confirmed he can have alcohol.Otherwise,he won't ask me to serve the alcohol to him.

The waiter was 16 years old and by law he could not handle alcohol and so he asked me to bring the drinks to the table. I assumed he had followed the procedure of checking IDs and so I just brought the drinks to the table. I was given a citation on the spot by the police for serving alcohol to the underage teenager.

An American police took a teenager to come to the restaurant pretending to eat here and they ordered alcohol,at that moment it wasn't me who served them but another waiter aged 16,since that waiter had no access to alcohol,then I was called to send alcohol to the teenager,I originally thought that waiter had already verified customers' IDs,therefore I directly send the alcohol to the teenager,to my surprise,I was fined by the police.This issue happened beyond my knowledge since if I knew the other waiter didn't confirm the customer's age I wouldn't have sent alcohol without verifying by myself.
