The importance of English
English is the most widely spoken in the world.It’s spoken by most people in the USA,Great Britain,Canada,Australia,and New Zealand.It's also very widely used as a foreign language in many other countries of the world.It's widely used for business between different countries.More than three quarters of the information on the Internet is in English,too.It is really a bridge to so much knowledge .English is used by travellers and business people around the world.It's one of the world's most important languages as it is so widely used.That's why more and more people in China are interested in learning English.
English is so useful that we must learn it well .Now let’s work hard at it and see who learns it faster and better in our class .
Computer
Computer is a wonderful machine.It's a great invention in many years.It develops very quickly.The smallest computer is as big as a note-book.We call it pocket computer.Computer becomes more and more important in many ways.It has touched the lives of everyone,even people in faraway villages.It helps us to do with all kinds of information and we get knowledge from it.It can give us a lot fun.
The importance of water
Of all the things we eat and drink,water is the most important.We can live without food for many days,but two or three days without water,usually makes people die.
However,not all of people understand this.They keep throwing rubbish into the rivers or lakes .Some factories even pour waste water into the river.As a result,many rivers and lakes have become so dirty that the water is no longer safe for people to drink .
Let’s do our best to keep the water clean to save ourselves .
The Spring Festival
The Spring Festival,also know as the lunar New Year,is the greatest traditional festival.It is usually a time between late January or early February,which means rest and relaxation between winter and spring after a year's toil,and means celebration as well.Before the Spring Festival,people clean their house,put red coupletson their gates,and set off firecrackers,according to fairy tale,for driving a demon,named Nian away.On the eve of the Spring Festival,a get-together banquet is a must,and the most popular food is Dumpling,which is supposed to bring good fortune.On the first day of the new year,everybody wears new clothes and greets relatives and friends with bows and congratulations wishing each other lucky during the new year.
How I Learn English
It is known to all that language learning is not only a kind of knowledge,but a kind of practice.Practice makes perfect.In learning a foreign language,Marx has set a good example.From the very beginning I spared no pains and paid as much attention as possible to listening,speaking,reading and writing.I read the English stories with GREat interest and learn to keep English diary every day.Now I am able to appreciate English poetry.
To meet the demands of present situation I must learn English well.
Failure
No one likes failure in his life.But not all can always succeed.It's a pity that someone will never stand up after a failure.We must learn to accept failure.After all,failure is not always a bad thing.We can learn something from it.Just as the saying goes,"Failure is the mother of success."We can know our own shortcomings and learn some experiences from a real failure,ff we made up our minds to start again,it will be easier to succeed next time.Furthermore,failure can make our will stronger.
My Cat
I have a white cat.It is a present from my mother on my birthday.It’s very beautiful.I call it Mimi.
Mimi is very naughty.She likes to play with me.She often runs here and there and likes running after something.Mimi’s favourite game is playing with balls,ropes and stones.I love it very much.Sometimes,Mimi is very gentle.She likes to wash her face and doesn’t play with me.After lunch,Mimi often lies on the sofa to sleep.When I go home,Mimi often jumps onto my knees.I like to give a bath to Mimi.
Oh,my baby cat brings me much happiness.We are good friends.I love Mimi.
